Cymax Group provides eCommerce technology and services for furniture vendors and retailers. Cymax manages four furniture websites. Cymax also offers a channel management solution, ChannelGate, that helps their furniture manufacturer partners load product data to sell online through marketplaces. Cymax also has a shipping software solution, called FreightClub, for manufacturer partners to use.
Cymax Group has sold online since the early 2000s. For a time, Cymax focused on selling through marketplaces, such as Amazon. The COVID-19 pandemic caused an uptick in the amount of furniture sales happening directly on Cymax’s websites, which necessitated an architecture shift away from a homegrown solution. Cymax wanted to offer the best experience possible for their customers and for consumers, which meant Composable commerce. Cymax Group was drawn to Elastic Path’s flexible MACH architecture, proven scalability, and re-imagined catalog management capabilities.
